I’m an NHS member of staff, how can I access medical e-resources?
Answer
If you register for an NHS OpenAthens account you can access the resources provided to you by NHS England, as well as additional resources we purchase to supplement the core content. These include databases such as Medline, Embase, and CINAHL, as well as a wide range of e-journals, e-books, and BMJ Best Practice - a point-of-care tool, all of which you can access anywhere.
You can find information on these resources via our website.
An easy way to search for articles and e-books and to see everything available to you is to use the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub. Log into the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub as this will show you the full content available with direct links.
If you join the Imperial College London library service, you can also access the College's e-resources. When you register, we will issue you with an Imperial College London username and password. Access is only available in the Library via our Imperial PCs or by using the Imperial College London Wi-Fi network on your own devices. Ask in the library for help connecting to our Wi-Fi.
Sign into Library Search to browse our resources, request items that are on loan or at another campus, request an item via document delivery for free, or suggest an item to be purchased for the library.
